Happy 10th Birthday Allie Janae!

Our Allie Gallie turns 10 today. Unbelievable. It doesn't seem possible that "my baby" could be 10 years old. We have younger children, but they have come to us at older ages. So it has been 10 years since we had a baby in the house. God blessed us with a baby girl after 2 sons and 3 miscarriages. At one time I thought maybe we just couldn't have girls. But God saw fit to give us the desires of our heart. Her brothers prayed for a little sister all the time. (They may not admit that now) The boys even named her. At the time they loved Land Before Time movies and in one of them Little Foot has a long-neck friend named Allie. THAT is where Allie got her name. Poor child. No deep spiritual meaning, just named after a dinosaur.
Allie is by far our most sensitive child. She feels deeply. Whether it is a person or an animal that hurts, she hurts with them. She loves deeply too. She has a HUGE love of horses. She can tell you anything about any kind of horse. She soaks of information from library books on horses. Her greatest wish is to be around horses. She asked the other day if she could get a job....even just brushing horses and cleaning stalls, just so she could be close to horses. How I wish I could grant that desire.
Al also loves having sisters. Little did we know that when we started out adopting one girl, that we would add 5 girls to our family through adoption! Now Allie sits in the middle of them age-wise. She is very content having both older and younger sisters.
It is such a pleasure to watch Allie as she grows. She has the greatest personality. Thank you God, for our blessing!
